Establishing a challenger brand
Chubo a newcomer to the professional kitchenware arena tasked Koiton with creating a digital only commerce platform. Develop then establish a unique identity in a marketplace dominated by numerous established and well funded key players.
Working closely with founders we provided channels for technological insight which led to the design and development of an affordable ecommerce MLP. Post launch data analysis highlighted new requirements, which were the basis of product evolution. We worked closely to create a challenger brand and visual identity. Provided key insight and direction into key product photography, paramount to conversion.
A successful ecommerce website was delivered with limited financial and technological risk to founders. The technology selected was straightforward to populate and manage inventory. A strong, unique and standout identity was created, with consistent TOV, which aided in developing customer loyalty and trust.

Product visual design
High end, clean online boutique. Focus on makers and industry professionals for USP. For professional chef target demographic.
As knives are the predominant catalogue item, different categories of photography where designed to generate aspiration, differentiate and to aid wayfinding. Category product listing imagery also needed to subtly differentiate to reduce visual overload.
To generate awareness, reduce financial risk and maximise return, very simple advertising was developed. No messaging complexities just instant association between product and brand was the core strategic intention. 'Foody' magazines such as Fool and Lucky Peach were targeted.
Social targeted content
To increase exposure and generate content for search / cross linking social content was created on a variety of visual channels.
